5 Tips for Traveling with a Baby
After the birth of my first son, I was a little worried that my traveling days were over for awhile. I had heard many of my friends vow never to fly with their children. Others just left their kids with grandparents. And almost all of them said they wouldn’t take their kids anywhere until “they could remember it.” But, we really wanted to family travel work for us. And so far so good! See my top 5 tips for traveling with a baby.

Why Families with Small Children Should Choose Bali for Their Next Trip
Guest post written by Jo from Wander with Jo.
Bali has surely got to be on the top of the list as far as family holidays are concerned. Great facilities and excellent accommodation for the entire family allow you to easily share the many experiences this island has to offer.
This caters both to the needs of children and adults.
What to Pack for a Day at the Beach with Kids
When I was younger, I loved hanging out at the beach. I’d put on my swimsuit, grab a towel and a fun novel and off I’d go. Now that I have a baby and a 3.5-year-old, I seem to fill my whole car with “stuff” when I head to the beach with kids.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, we are lucky enough to be able to head to the Pacific Ocean, Puget Sound or a variety of nearby lakes. My new favorite spot is Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, WA. Not only do they have an amazing new play area with a splash pad, but they have an awesome beach that is perfect for kids. It requires a Discover Pass, but we’ve visited this park so many times that it’s been worth the cost.
How to Teach Kids about Money & Travel Budgets
When ever people hear that we take our kids with us when we travel, they think we’re crazy. The first comment we get is usually that they are too young to remember, so why bother. The next comment is always about the high cost of travel. Yes, traveling with kids can be pricey. I wouldn’t consider our family to be budget travelers, but we are trying to teach our kids about travel budgets and how to stick to them.
What to Pack for a Babymoon
With this pregnancy, I’ve been so lucky to be able to travel a bit. It’s mostly been family travel, so when we had the opportunity to have an official Babymoon (trip before baby arrives just as a couple) we seized the day! Babymoons are a somewhat recent phenomenon and not everyone is able to take one (especially with the lack of maternity/paternity available and people have to use sick/vacation days after baby is born.) We are so lucky that we were able to get time off and my Mom was available to watch our toddler.
