Disney Encanto FAQs
Not really. I mean, no one is technically a princess in the movie and they never refer to royalty. But, it does have several strong female characters so it’s easy to compare it to Disney’s Frozen or Moana.
The real story is very similar to what happens in the movie. It was inspired by Encanto producer Clark Spencer’s own family story. Apparently, her grandfather died escaping their home while her grandmother was able to get her triplets to safety. She was guided by a candle that she believed to be her husband’s spirit. Sound familiar?
Not exactly. He did write a bunch of songs that have his iconic catchy style that is very reminiscent of Hamilton.
