We’ve traveled to Disney World in Orlando, FL almost every year since my kids were babies. And I’ve learned that there’s a Walt Disney hotel for budget!
Disney is great at offering hotels to fit every family and price point. We have our favorites but still like to try different hotels.
That’s because each one has its own personality! It just depends on what you’re looking for and what’s important to your family.
You can stay at Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts for more spacious rooms and luxurious amenities. Or if you prefer, stay at a hotel inside a Disney property that’s run by Sheraton or Hilton.
There are budget hotels, themed lodges, deluxe resort hotels, moderate resort hotels, and more! Plus, many locations offer a variety of accommodations at multiple price points.
You’ll never forget the wonder in your children’s eyes when they wake up every day inside the Magic Kingdom Park. Check out these amazing Walt Disney World hotels for every budget!
Walt Disney World Hotel by Cost Range
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – A Deluxe Walt Disney Resort Hotel
Cost Range: $$$ – $$$$$
This is one of our favorite places to stay in the Magic Kingdom Park area. It’s an AAA four-diamond resort in the collection of Disney deluxe resort hotels.
Prices range from $450 to $1500, depending on your accommodations. However, luxury villas can easily price at $5000 or more during the peak season.
And you can feel the luxury side of the resort in every way! The best part is probably how peaceful it is.
The resort is modeled after the Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone National Park and other national parks are represented around the resort as well.
Wilderness Lodge Rooms
The standard room has 2 queen beds, which is plenty of room for our family of 4. You can also book deluxe rooms and family suites for more space.
And families will love the Wilderness Lodge villas. They come with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, as well as porches or balconies!
Although the wilderness theme is carried throughout the room, Disney characters are not obvious in the decor. I love the sophisticated nature décor, and the kids like the bears found around the room.
Wilderness Lodge Pools
Both the Boulder Ridge and the Copper Creek Hidden Spring pools are heated for year-round use. If it gets really chilly, there are also 2 hot tubs to use as well.
A 67-foot waterslide that comes down from the boulders around the Hidden Spring pool entertains the kids for hours.
They have so much fun on this slide! Towels are provided for guests to use, so no need to pack bulky beach towels.
Wilderness Lodge Activities
Wilderness Lodge guests have access to tons of free family-friendly activities. One of our favorites was watching movies under the stars! After sunset, the resort shows Disney movies on the shore of the sandy beach by the lake.
Another great activity is watching the Electric Water Pageant go across Bay Lake! There’s music and sea creatures sail across the lake. The whole thing lasts about 15 minutes. It’s so much fun and we loved every minute of it.
There are also jogging trails and a full health club. You can take the kids to roast marshmallows every night over a campfire by the lake. Or check out the family arcade room!
Wilderness Lodge Transportation
The complimentary resort transportation available to Wilderness Lodge guests can take you straight to any park at Walt Disney World.
There are the normal Disney bus shuttles that pick you up right outside the main entrance. But at the Wilderness Lodge you can also take a boat on 2 water launch routes across Bay Lake!
The first route takes guests directly to the Magic Kingdom. The second route stops at Fort Wilderness Campground and the Contemporary Resort.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort — A Moderate Walt Disney World Hotel
Cost Range: $$ — $$$
The Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate hotel with a laid-back beach vibe. It feels like you are on one of the Caribbean Islands in that elegant Disney fashion!
Prices at the Caribbean Beach Resort ranges from $250 to $600.
A big draw with this Disney resort hotel is its central location near the Skyliner hub. You have easy access to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and the Disney Springs area!
Caribbean Beach Resort Rooms
Rooms are split into 5 areas representing 5 islands. They are Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba.
You have the option of either a standard room or a pirate-themed room. We chose the pirate-themed room, and the kids loved it!
Keeping with the theme, the beds looked like pirate ships! There were bed light lanterns and pirate divider curtains. We felt like Captain Jack Sparrow, sleeping in our pirate room.
I do want to note that the pirate rooms have 2 double beds, while standard rooms come with 2 queen beds. All rooms have a mini fridge available for guests’ use.
Caribbean Beach Resort Food
Guests staying at the resort have several restaurants to choose from. Centertown Market is the main dining area located just off the lobby.
The resort is a bit spread out, so getting to the food court and market was a walk. The food was delicious with lots of options. Both a grab-and-go and quick service ordering were available.
If your family is too tired to venture out, pizza delivery is an option to be sent directly to your resort room door.
Caribbean Beach Resort Pools
There are 5 pools at the resort! You’ll find one pool in each area, but the main pool is where we spent most of our pool time. It’s a Spanish Fortress-theme pool.
Some of the fun features of the main pool include zero entry, 2 great slides, and water-spraying cannons! It’s heated year-round swimming.
For little ones, there is a great shipwrecked play area. All kids are 48” and under in this area and can splash around.
There’s also a hot tub available for both kids and adults. And throughout the day, Cast Members host kid-friendly activities near the different pools. They include relay races, pool games, themed pool parties, and more!
Caribbean Beach Resort Transportation
Taking the Disney bus to the parks was pretty easy. They go to each park and come around often.
The Caribbean Beach Resort is massive with quite a few bus stops for picks up and drop offs to the parks. This means the bus can take longer to get to the parks, too.
But you also have the option of taking the new Disney Skyliner from this Disney resort! Guests can go straight from the resort to 3 different theme parks.

Disney’s All-Star Movies — A Value Walt Disney World Hotel
Cost Range: $ — $$
The All-Star Movies resort is great for the budget. Prices currently range between $125 and $325 a night. The movie theme is focused on Toy Story, Fantasia, and 101 Dalmatians.
All of the All-Star Resort Hotels are located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort area. They’re considered part of the value category in the Disney resort hotels.
This is a more basic hotel. But it’s definitely still up to all Disney standards and a great option for families with top-notch amenities you’d expect at any Disney resort.
All-Star Movies Rooms
We had a standard room, which typically comes with 2 queen beds. All-Star Movies doesn’t technically have theme rooms.
But they have a feel for the Disney movies with pictures and decorations. You can choose between Standard or Preferred rooms.
Although the room was very clean, it does feel a bit more basic than the moderate or luxury rooms.
All-Star Movies Pool
The Fantasia-themed pool is great for all kids, and little ones can play in the kiddie area. The value resort doesn’t have a hot tub or slides in the pool area.
However, the pool is heated for a consistent year-round temperature. And guests can enjoy a poolside bar and complimentary towels.
All-Star Movies Food
The food court has 5 themes for a variety of options, so everyone in the family is happy! It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Pizza delivery is also available to your resort room if you don’t have the energy to go out.
All-Star Movies Transportation
The Disney bus is the only complimentary transportation option from this resort. We waited at specific bus stops for each park.
It was easy to find, and buses came regularly. There was a bit longer wait for the buses, than with the other properties.
All-Star now offers the Minnie Van service as well, which connects guests to Lyft drivers. This will cost you, but it’s a great option if you don’t want to wait.

Final Thoughts on Choosing Your Favorite Walt Disney World Hotel
You can find Disney resort hotels for every budget and preference. Luxury, moderate, and value resorts alike have quality features and activities.
And all 3 hotels are I’ve highlighted are top-notch options with great Disney touches. But you really can’t go wrong picking any Disney hotel!
Just focus on the features that are most important to your family. Then enjoy making Disney memories that will last forever!
