Here are some creative ways to countdown the days until Christmas!

How to Countdown to Christmas with Kids

1. Use an Advent Calendar

To make your countdown even easier for those busy mamas, use an advent calendar. Fill up the boxes with Christmas jokes, ideas of fun things to do as a family, or even small treats every day until Santa comes!

2. Countdown on the Tree

If you would like to count down until Christmas but don’t know how many boxes to use, get creative and use your Christmas tree!

Start counting down from December 1st each morning by adding a new star or decoration to the tree. This method will allow you to reuse the ornaments each year so you don’t have to buy new ones every season!

3. Countdown with Candy Canes

This is a great idea for on-the-go families who are busy doing activities, traveling, or visiting over the holiday season. Buy 25 candy canes or other Christmas candy and place them in a jar or decorative container.

Each night, remove one piece of candy from the jar. Once you have gone through all of the candy canes, it will be Christmas Eve!

4. Countdown with Mickey Mouse

If you’re a big Disney fan, like our kids, print out this Mickey Mouse Santa PDF and add a cotton ball onto the numbers each day until all the numbers are filled and he has a big, fluffy beard!
