I love picking out gifts for birthday and holidays for other peoples’ kids. Lately, I’ve been gifting some of my favorite wooden toys for toddlers that my kids have loved to play with.

Last year, I asked my son what he’d like to ask Santa to bring him for Christmas. He replied, “A remote control Transformer.”
My first thought was, “Do they even make those?”

I’m always looking for ways to get my kids to play with the toys they already have. Sometimes all it takes is a new way to play with them. That’s what happened when my family got the new Thomas Super Station from Walmart.
What is Zulily?
If you are a mom, I’m sure you’ve browsed the Zulily website. From fluffy tutus, to maternity wear, to home decor, to tons of toys, Zulily is one of the coolest shopping experiences for families. And everyday, there’s something new! It’s extra cool for our family because the Zulily headquarters is in Seattle, close to where we live!
The Funko headquarters is in Everett, WA and is a fun thing to do near Seattle with kids who love Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, DC Comics and more!
Celebrating China at Home with Wooden Toys for Toddlers
My kids are half Chinese. Because of that, I’m always on the hunt for ways to incorporate learning about China into play time. We read a lot of books about Chinese culture. My kids eat a LOT of Chinese food and my preschooler practices using his training chopsticks.
My family travels a lot and I’m always on the hunt for toys that will occupy my 3-year-old. We tend to take small toys on airplanes. We also like to have toys that will provide hours of fun in hotel rooms. When Magformers offered to send me their TMNT Half Shell Heroes 38-piece Set, I excitedly accepted.
