When people ask you what it’s like traveling with babies and toddlers, does a specific moment come to mind? For me, it totally depends on my mood whether I think of a funny moment or one that was downright terrifying!
So, I thought I’d write up my most memorable family travel moments and my top essentials for traveling with a baby in this sponsored post for Signature Care Diapers, which are available at Safeway and Albertsons.
It’s that time of year: Spring Cleaning. If you are dreading it, you aren’t alone. I mean, you’ll probably spend a weekend vacuuming, boxing up stuff, and maybe throwing out a few things, only to see your house feel cluttered by the next weekend. For those of us with fun travel plans, we’d rather spend the time packing and planning our itineraries. So, when I tried the KonMari method of organizing last fall, I immediately realized that Marie Kondo’s system is perfect for families who travel.
The first time I ever traveled with a nursing baby was when my family went to Thailand when my son was 6 months old. I had no idea what to pack and ended up not packing very smartly. I was so pre-occupied with making sure I had all my breast pump parts and extra bottles (which I didn’t use once) that I forgot more important things, like nipple ointment. We traveled with a lot of extended family and I didn’t feel comfortable nursing in front of them without a nursing cover or proper nursing clothes (which I didn’t pack) that I ended up sequestered in our room for a lot of the trip. That’s not how I envisioned exploring Thailand.
