When I was pregnant with my oldest, I was on bed rest for many months. It sucked. I mean, it REALLY sucked. But, it gave me lots of time to shop online.
Mostly, I shopped for my baby because it was the only nesting I could physically do.

Whenever I think of a classic Parisian woman, the first thing that comes to mind is the iconic Breton striped shirt. Look at any vintage photo of Paris and you’ll see celebrities and everyday people rocking the Breton shirt. But, it’s also very current and on-trend. It’s truly a classic shirt that has thrived throughout the decades.

My family loves to travel, whether it’s internationally or closer to home. This means we pack a lot of bags and have to think smartly about our clothing choices. Gone are the days where I could pack twice as many outfits for myself and fancy clothing for “just in case.” Now that we have two kiddos, it’s all about streamlining and getting the most bang out of our suitcase space, especially when I’m traveling with them on my own. This is where Zutano is a great fit for my family and our lifestyle.

When we decided to head up to Victoria, BC for our Babymoon, I knew that this would be one of my last opportunities to look nice for awhile. Life with a toddler is full of messy buns and yoga pants, so I really wanted to take advantage of the couple of days I had toddler-free. Cute maternity clothes are hard to come by. Thankfully, PinkBlush Maternity sent me this gorgeous maternity dress to wear!
When I touched the dress for the first time, I couldn’t believe how buttery soft it was! I was a bit hesitant to try it on because a lot of the maternity dresses I’ve tried on ended up looking frumpy and the opposite of cute. So, I was really surprised how well it fit! It even covered the massive nursing bra I was wearing (only bra that seems remotely comfy at 7 months preggers.) Major points right there!
The dress is easy to move around in and it’s the perfect weight for Spring, Summer or Fall. Since I was touring around, I ended up wearing a large sun hat for part of the day and then added a sweater in the evening. I also wore flat sandals due to all the walking. This dress was comfortable enough for a double decker bus ride, water taxi ride, touring a museum and castle, enjoying afternoon tea in a garden and eating at restaurants. Most importantly, I felt really put together!
What surprised me the most about this PinkBlush Maternity dress was the overall quality. I have always thought of maternity clothes as throwaway pieces. However, because of the cut and style, I think I will be hanging onto this dress long after I’m pregnant. It’s just a great staple maxi dress and it’s a dress I would have grabbed regardless of pregnancy. And I think it will be a dress that always makes it into my travel bag for just about any destination.
PinkBlush Maternity sent me this dress for review purposes.
