Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets + More!

Sharing is caring!

Looking for some ways to keep your little Jedi occupied during school breaks? Check out my ultimate list of Star Wars crafts, activities, and worksheets to encourage learning outside of school.
This Star Wars crafts, activities, and worksheets post was written by family travel expert Marcie Cheung and contains affiliate links which means if you purchase something from one of my affiliate links, I may earn a small commission that goes back into maintaining this blog.

Like many other families, my kids currently have an unexpected 6 weeks off from school (maybe more.)

After my initial panic about school closures and what that means for our family, I was able to take a step back and think about what my children’s education at home was going to look like.

Out of all my life’s ambitions, homeschooling my kids never made the list. I’m in awe of those who do.

But, I personally lack the patience and would rather have my time with my kids be a positive experience (at least whenever possible.)

We spend a lot of time traveling together (especially to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Aulani, and Disney Cruises.) In fact, we just got back from Star Wars Day at Sea last month, which was a HUGE hit with my boys.

Therefore, I’ve decided to use Star Wars as the base for all our learning during this school break. I’ve asked my blogger friends to share their best Star Wars crafts , activities, and worksheets to help me out.

Plus, I’ve got links to my favorite Star Wars workbooks and supplies you can order to get shipped directly to your house.

The Best Star Wars Crafts

Star Wars Bookmarks

We love crafts that also serve a purpose. My heart leapt when I saw these adorable bookmarks featuring Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Print out these Free Printable Star Wars Bookmarks to save your spot in your favorite book!

My favorite part about this craft is that it’s SO easy, even I can handle it! Just print them off and cut them out.

Depending on their ages, they can either help you make them or you can use them as prizes for when they read a certain amount of books.

These are a great way to encourage kids to read!

Baby Yoda Painted Rocks

Both younger and older kids will have a lot of fun creating these adorable Baby Yoda painted rocks.

After you are done, you can use them to decorate your garden (how cool would it be to create an entire Star Wars-themed rock garden?)

Or, you can hide them around town for others to find!

Black Glue Star Wars Droids

It takes a lot for me to agree to any sort of craft that involves watercolor paint and glue. But, this one looks so cool that I know we’re going to have to give it a try.

I love it when my kids can be creative and add their own spin to crafts. The rainbow colors make me happy and this is a Star Wars craft that kids can do multiple times with different results.

I’m going to use her tip about outlining in glue the night before so my kids can just focus on painting. I think that will alleviate a lot of frustration (for all of us!)

DIY Star Wars Sensory Bottle

I love crafts that have dual purposes. This one is really cool because kids can help make it but it also can be used as a tool to calm down their anxiety.

Star Wars Sensory Bottle

Oh, and did I mention it glows in the dark?

Make Your Own Pool Noodle Lightsaber

If you have kids who love Star Wars, chances are they can turn just about anything into a lightsaber!

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: https://www.adventuresinfamilyhood.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/P1070161.jpg

These pool noodle lightsabers are super cute, cheap, and easy to put together.

Once you’ve made a few, the fun can really start! Have your kids battle each other and burn off a little energy!

DIY Star Wars Princess Leia Craft

If you have any paper plates laying around, this is a fun Star Wars DIY activity for kids. Just print out the templates and kids can easily glue it themselves.

Princess Leia Paper Plate Craft

There’s also a cool Death Star paper plate craft you can do!

Star Wars Origami

Both of my kids are really into origami lately. Well, they like watching ME create origami for THEM.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Instruction showing how to fold a super easy origami Yoda and Pikachu Tutorial- Great kids craft for all ages

So, it shouldn’t surprise you that my favorite part about this origami craft is that it’s easy enough for my oldest to do without my help!

Plus, I like that my kids can draw the faces after it’s done. And they can use them to play.

Star Wars Toilet Paper Roll Figures

Chances are, you have toilet paper rolls hanging around your house just waiting to be turned into a craft. At least, that’s how my kids see it.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: https://rockyourhomeschool.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Free-Easy-Star-Wars-Toilet-Paper-Roll-Figures-for-Creative-Fun-examples.jpg

I have to admit, these are some of the cutest toilet paper roll crafts I’ve seen!

They are super easy to make and I like that it encourages kids to really play with the figures. With so many different characters, it’s easy to either act out scenes from the movies or come up with your own story line.

Printable Yoda Craft

If your kids love crafts as much as mine do, this is a fun way to incorporate some Star Wars into your art curriculum.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: http://learncreatelove.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/yoda-craft.png

What I love most about this Yoda craft is it’s easy!

Basically, it’s just a few pieces to color, cut out, and assemble. This would be cute to put on the fridge or kids can hang in their rooms.

Chewbacca and Millenium Falcon Papercraft

This craft focuses a lot on fine motor skills and patience. It’s a lot of cutting, folding, and carefully taping.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse

Once it’s completed, you can have your kids act out scenes from Star Wars movies or pretend like they are piloting the Millennium Falcon (like in Smugglers Run).

For an extension on this Star Wars craft, have your kids create their own planet and have Chewie “discover” the planet and talk about the creatures living there and what life is like.

Death Star Pinata

Ok, I can’t get over how epic this Star Wars pinata is! It would almost be a shame to hit it with a stick!

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: https://www.redtedart.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Death-Star-DIY.jpg

This is a great project for parents who like involving their kids in some crafts, but then want to completely take over.

Kids can help make the paper mache paste, cut up strips of newspaper, place the strips onto the balloon, and layer on the paper strips. They can even help paint the whole thing black.

After that (if you have young kids), Type-A parents might want to add in the rest of the details to make it look like the Death Star. Or let the kids decorate it however they like.

Star Wars Activities

LEGO Star Wars Ice Melting Experiment

I love science experiments that don’t require a lot on my part. We’ve done Montessori-based preschool work involving ice blocks, but this takes it to the next level.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Lego Star Wars Ice Melting Experiment

Grab a bunch of your kids’ LEGO Star Wars minifigures, some food coloring, and an empty milk container and you’re all set.

Not only can kids chip away at the block, but they can test out squirting hot water on it or dumping room temperature water on it.

And older kids can even set up this science experiment for younger kids. I’m all for outsourcing!

Star Wars Sight Words Game

If you have a preschooler or kindergartner, this sight words game is pretty awesome!

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Editable Sight Word Game with a Star Wars Theme - Playing the Game

What’s super cool for parents is that this worksheet/board game is completely editable. So, you can keep making the sight words harder and harder.

You can even throw in Star Wars vocabulary, if you like!

Star Wars ABC Game

If you have kids who love LEGOs and Star Wars, this is a great way to get them to work on their letters.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Awesome Star Wars ABC Games with Free Light Saber Printables

You’ll cut out these pictures of LEGO lightsabers and kids can use the cut outs to create letters. But that’s not all.

Kids can also play several games like Call It and Build It, Alphabetical Order, Build The Letters In Your Name, or Build The Next Letter.

You could also write down Star Wars words and have your kids spell them using these cut outs.

Star Wars Movie Night

We’re big fans of incorporating learning into everyday activities, like cooking as a family!

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Movie Night

These tasty Star Wars-inspired recipes are a fun way to elevate your next Star Wars movie night. Your kids will have fun making them (and they might actually eat them, too!)

Jedi Training Academy Experience

My oldest has been lucky enough to do the Jedi Training Academy at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It’s a really fun program and it’s a fun way to teach kids Jedi skills while also acting a bit.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Try these fun DIY Jedi Training Academy party games for your next Star Wars birthday or kids party! Great ideas that work for boys, girls, and even a grown up party! Definitely trying these activities with my kids at our next Star Wars party!

With this Jedi Training Academy experience, you can use it as a base to play Simon Says or Red Light Green Light (it’s always important to work on those listening skills!)

You can also add in an obstacle course component. This is something you can do indoors or outdoors and you can change it up and do it multiple times.

Plus, if your kids have Star Wars costumes, this is a fun way to pretend to be their favorite hero (or villain) all in the name of having fun!

Star Wars Decoding Fun

My husband is known for his ability to quote practically any movie he’s seen, especially Star Wars movies. That’s why he’s not allowed to do this Star Wars decoding activity with us! It’s based on Star Wars movie quotes from characters.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: https://rockyourhomeschool.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Star-Wars-Inspired-Activities-for-Decoding-Fun-supplies.jpg

I’m listing this as an activity because you can do it as a group and it involves a little more than the worksheets.

If your family gets a kick out of this activity, the possibilities are endless for additional coded quotes or messages you can create for them using the decoder.

Or, you can have older kids use the decoder to create messages for you!

Star Wars Trivia Game: Who Said It?

Another great Star Wars activity for kids is doing trivia games. Have your child practice reading the questions and answers and see if they can stump you!

FREE Star Wars Trivia Game Printable featured by top US Disney blogger, Marcie and the Mouse

This Star Wars trivia game can also be turned into a writing activity. Ask your child the questions and have them write down their answers.

Star Wars Crafts & Activities: the Best Worksheets

Star Wars Word Search

One of our favorite types of worksheets are word searches. They are great for a variety of ages and grade levels.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Free Printable Star Wars Word Search

This one is pretty awesome. It features 30 Star Wars character names and other vocabulary words kids can find on the page (horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or backwards.) Plus, it comes with the solution!

Star Wars I-Spy Worksheet

I like this worksheet a lot because it’s more versatile that you might expect. You can have kids color the objects based on size, or circle them, or check them off.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Star Wars I Spy

And it’s a good way for kids to write out their numbers and practice marking off items.

For an extra challenge, use this as a jumping off point to talk about addition and subtraction (like what happens if we take away 3 AT-ATs?)

Star Wars Cutting Worksheets

For preschoolers and kindergartners, fine motor skills are super important and sometimes overlooked. That’s why these cutting worksheets are so important.

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: Disney Star Wars Cutting Practice Sheets | Have your child practice cutting straight lines, curved lines, wavy lines and zigzag lines with this free printable worksheet. #finemotor #activities #freeprintablesforkids #teacher

This site has several Star Wars worksheets designed to help young kids practice their cutting skills.

I’d suggest printing them on the backside of recycled paper because they are just going to get all cut up. And after they are cut, you can see if your kids want to use them for other crafts (like paper mache.)

Star Wars Mazes

My oldest is a huge fan of kids menus at restaurants for the sole purpose of doing the little mazes on them. So, he’s going to be delighted when he sees all of these Star Wars mazes!

Top 50 Star Wars Crafts, Activities, Workbooks, Worksheets to entertain your family, featured by top US Disney Blogger, Marcie and the Mouse: https://rockyourhomeschool.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Star-Wars-Inspired-Mazes-for-Stellar-Fun-featured-1.jpg

If you want to extend the life of these, you can laminate them (or put them in those sheet protectors) and have your kids use dry erase markers.

Or, after they complete the maze, you can have them use scissors to cut on the black lines.

Star Wars Mandalorian Worksheets & Printables

Since we can all use more Baby Yoda in our lives, I have a Mandalorian Activity Pack that includes a Mandalorian Word Search, a Mandalorian Word Scramble, and a Mandalorian A-Z Challenge.

I also have a Star Wars Activity Pack that includes a Star Wars Word Search, a Star Wars Word Scramble, and a Star Wars A-Z Challenge.

Star Wars Crafts & Activities: the Best Workbooks

I’m a total geek when it comes to workbooks and I remember loving doing them as kids. I’ve tried using workbooks I’ve found at Costco, but my kids have never been interested.

HOWEVER, I finally started looking for Star Wars workbooks and they have been a total hit! My oldest actually asks to do them first thing in the morning (well, after screen time.)

Because it’s so late in the school year, we bought the next grade level workbooks and they seem to be at the perfect level for him.
