After finding out that we were pregnant again, I immediately starting thinking about all the things I’d do differently this pregnancy. Of course, I’ll still take my prenatal vitamins and go to all my doctor’s visits. But there are still a lot of options out there. It’s kind of like traveling somewhere you’ve already been before: where do you revisit, where do you skip and what new adventures would you like to check out?

When we agreed to a family summer vacation in Florence, Italy I had no idea that I’d be 13 weeks pregnant. I was worried that I’d have severe morning sickness and not be able to endure the 14 hour flight from Seattle. Thankfully, I was worried for no reason and it ended up being a fantastically relaxing trip!

When we decided to head up to Victoria, BC for our Babymoon, I knew that this would be one of my last opportunities to look nice for awhile. Life with a toddler is full of messy buns and yoga pants, so I really wanted to take advantage of the couple of days I had toddler-free. Cute maternity clothes are hard to come by. Thankfully, PinkBlush Maternity sent me this gorgeous maternity dress to wear!
When I touched the dress for the first time, I couldn’t believe how buttery soft it was! I was a bit hesitant to try it on because a lot of the maternity dresses I’ve tried on ended up looking frumpy and the opposite of cute. So, I was really surprised how well it fit! It even covered the massive nursing bra I was wearing (only bra that seems remotely comfy at 7 months preggers.) Major points right there!
The dress is easy to move around in and it’s the perfect weight for Spring, Summer or Fall. Since I was touring around, I ended up wearing a large sun hat for part of the day and then added a sweater in the evening. I also wore flat sandals due to all the walking. This dress was comfortable enough for a double decker bus ride, water taxi ride, touring a museum and castle, enjoying afternoon tea in a garden and eating at restaurants. Most importantly, I felt really put together!
What surprised me the most about this PinkBlush Maternity dress was the overall quality. I have always thought of maternity clothes as throwaway pieces. However, because of the cut and style, I think I will be hanging onto this dress long after I’m pregnant. It’s just a great staple maxi dress and it’s a dress I would have grabbed regardless of pregnancy. And I think it will be a dress that always makes it into my travel bag for just about any destination.
