Last year, I asked my son what he’d like to ask Santa to bring him for Christmas. He replied, “A remote control Transformer.”
My first thought was, “Do they even make those?”

I had never shopped for Transformers before but figured I’d start my search at Fred Meyer, since they have a huge toy section.
They had so many Transformers products and luckily, I was able to find exactly what he was talking about!
Transformers Bumblebee Toy
Fast forward to last week, when my son started talking about Bumblebee and if he could get a Bumblebee.
It took me a minute before I remembered hearing about the new Transformers movie all about Bumblebee!
Apparently, his friends at preschool are just as into Transformers as he is and they had been talking about it at recess!
This time, I knew exactly where to go!
Bumblebee Items at Fred Meyer
Even though the movie doesn’t come out until December 21 (conveniently my husband’s birthday!) merchandise has been popping up at my local Fred Meyer store.
I surprised my 4 year old with a trip to Fred Meyer after picking him up from school. We found a huge display of Transformers Bumblebee toy items and housewares right in the middle of the aisle!
My son couldn’t contain his enthusiasm as he picked up each item to carefully examine it.
Personally, I loved the large tin tote the best out of all the products. Not only could you use it as a lunchbox, but it’s perfect for storing Transformers of all shapes and sizes. And it’s perfect for families on the go, like our family!
My son also loved seeing how Bumblebee “posed” for the picture and he wanted to replicate it!
Hasbro Bumblebee Toys + Apparel
And as an extra surprise, Hasbro sent my kids a big box of Transformers Bumblebee toy products!
They immediately wanted to open every single item up and figure out how to transform them into vehicles!
Most of them were pretty easy for my 4 year old to figure out, but he needed my help on a couple of them.
Thankfully, the instructions are right on the box!
It’s always fun to see how my kids play with their toys.
My toddler immediately went over to his little slide so he could send the cars down the ramp!
But, they didn’t just send stuff for my kids.
My husband was giddy that they also sent HIM some jammies and a cool t-shirt.
See, he’s been a huge Transformers fan since he was a kid! In fact, our kids play with the same Optimus Prime toy he’s had since the 1980s!
And my husband even bought himself a talking Optimus Prime Transformer action figure when we were dating!
I love that my husband can share his enthusiasm for the Transformers movies and products with our kids.
And they LOVE that he can figure out how to transform all the action figures in record time!
