I know I say this almost every month, but I can’t believe it’s already June. We’re almost halfway through 2020, but it feels like we’re in the year that just won’t end.

After quarantining for 2.5 months, we spent the past weekend in a rental home on the water and it was incredible. We were able to walk down to the rocky beach to let the kids play and we didn’t see a single person.

It was the first time I’ve been able to breathe a sigh of relief since this all started.

When I packed for the trip, I just brought comfy clothes because the whole point was to stay isolated, just with a different view.

However, we ended up doing a few video calls and then chatted (from a distance) with some people and I wished that I felt a little more put together.

So, I was really excited to get my latest Stitch Fix box when we got home.

See what I thought of my May 2020 Stitch Fix Box.

KUT FROM THE KLOTH | BENTER MIXED MATERIAL TOP

I’m always chilly and tend to wear a lot of layers, no matter the time of year. I like cozy tops that I can thrown on with jeans or get comfy with sweats or pajama pants.

So, I got a little giddy when I pulled this top out of my Stitch Fix box.

Retail Price: $60.00

What I Liked about this Benter Mixed Material Top

It’s so incredibly soft! The sleeves are knit and the printed part feels like rayon. It’s lightweight, so it’s great for summer or to layer under a jacket any time of year.

I also really love the tropical flower print. It feels modern and I like the blue, pink, and grey color scheme. The photo doesn’t really do it justice. It’s quite stunning in person.

What I Didn’t Like about this Benter Mixed Material Top

I usually go for tops that are a bit thicker, so I was surprised how thin it is. But, that’s not a dealbreaker for me.

FINAL VERDICT: Keep

WILDFOX | SCATTER STAR CREWNECK SWEATSHIRT

Like I said earlier, I’m always on the hunt for cozy tops. It’s the first thing I reach for when I get out of bed to keep me warm on chilly mornings. And it’s the last thing I take off before bed.

This one gave me mixed feelings when I pulled it out and I wasn’t sure if I loved it.

What I Liked about this Scatter Star Crewneck Sweatshirt

This sweatshirt is fuzzy and oh-so-soft! When I tried it on, I almost didn’t want to take it off because I was so comfortable wearing it. I thought it would be great to wear over pajamas while I watched Netflix after the kids go to bed.

What I Didn’t Like about this Scatter Star Crewneck Sweatshirt

I’m not really sold on the star graphic design on the front. My son has a blue sweatshirt with large stars on it and it just feels a bit similar to me. And it’s more on the junior end.

But honestly, the price was the biggest deterrent for me. I feel like I could find something like this at Nordstrom Rack for half the price.

FINAL VERDICT: Return

MARKET & SPRUCE | TARZA V-NECK KNIT TOP

Almost all of my casual tops are t-shirts. Some are graphic tees and the rest are solid prints. While those are great, I’ve been wanting something that feels just a bit different.’

The light pink color made me instantly smile and I crossed my fingers that it would fit me well!

Retail Price: $44.00

What I Liked about this Tarza V-Neck Knit Top

Like all the tops, it’s super soft and so comfortable to wear. The color is really sweet and the top laid very nicely when I tried it on.

It feels like a cap-sleeve, lightweight sweater that pairs perfectly with sweats or lounge pants. But, it still looks nice to run out to the store or have coffee with a friend.

What I Didn’t Like about this Tarza V-Neck Knit Top

The arm holes are a bit wide and it might be noticeable if I wore a brightly colored or black bra. I tried it on with a beige bra and couldn’t really see it.

FINAL VERDICT: Keep

JEN7 | CROPPED CAPRI SKINNY WITH SIDE VENT

I’m starting to get more and more into “fun” pants. I’ve had teal and robin’s egg blue pants in the past and I’ve always loved wearing them.

This pair made me smile when I pulled it out…until I saw the size.

Retail Price: $99.00

What I Liked about this Cropped Capri Skinny With Side Vent

The color is so fun and the pants are nice and stretchy. JEN7 is made from Seven for All Mankind, a brand that fits me well. Even though these were snug, they were still surprisingly comfy, even when I sat down.

What I Didn’t Like about this Cropped Capri Skinny With Side Vent

They are just too tight. And that’s primarily because I haven’t updated Stitch Fix with my current weight and size. I’m about a half size larger in the hips that I was before quarantine, so it makes sense that all the pants I’ve gotten the past couple of months have been snug.

I thought about exchanging it, but then I realized that while I love the color, I’m not really into capri pants as much as I have been in the past.

FINAL VERDICT: Return

FREE PEOPLE | JAY SEAM DETAIL JOGGER PANT

This mom can NEVER have enough sweat pants. I’m super into the jogger style lately and own a couple of jogger sweats in neutral colors.

I like that they are great for around the house, but also feel updated enough to run errands or go to the bus stop and still feel a bit on trend.

What I Liked about this Jay Seam Detail Jogger Pant

I love the pockets on the back! Most of my sweats just have side pockets, but these look cute and I bet my phone wouldn’t fall out like they do in the side pockets.

I also really like the color and the style.

What I Didn’t Like about this Jay Seam Detail Jogger Pant

While they did fit, I would probably be more comfortable going up a size so they aren’t as fitted in the leg. I like my sweats to be a little bit roomier.

FINAL VERDICT: Return

Overall, I’d say this Stitch Fix Unboxing was spot on!

This was my first Stitch Fix box where I seriously considered keeping the entire box (and taking advantage of the 25% off discount!)

The clothes were stylish, comfortable, and perfect for lazy days and casual weekends. I can’t wait to wear the Benter Mixed Material Top this weekend as we drive around Northwest Trek and I look forward to wearing the Market & Spruce top during a few video calls I have next week.
