Gosh, was that the longest January or what? My kids had several snow days (we got about 1/4″ snow total) and my oldest got the flu, so I feel like we were cooped up in the house the whole month!

That also means I lost the few kid-free days I had this month (where both kiddos were in school) to go shopping.

So, I’m extra thankful that my Stitch Fix box came!

Here in Seattle, we haven’t had a sunny day since November. That’s insane! And it’s been raining almost non-stop for the past couple of weeks.

My stylist picked out a few pieces she thought would be perfect for these dreary, rainy, Pacific Northwest winter days. I can’t wait to see what’s inside!

MARC NEW YORK | SHILOWE CARGO RAIN JACKET

Ok, I definitely had a smile on my face when I saw this Marc New York rain jacket. I’d seen it on the Stitch Fix Style Shuffle and I know I clicked “thumbs up” on it.

Here in the PNW, we all own at least one rain jacket and I’ve been in the market for a new one.

Stitch Fix Unboxing & Try On: February 2020 featured by top US lifestyle blogger, Marcie in Mommyland: Shilowe Cargo Rain Jacket

Retail Price: $128.00

What I Liked about this Shilowe Cargo Rain Jacket

The color is gorgeous! It’s a nice blush color that goes well with jeans. But, it can also be paired with business casual looks. I also really like the feel of the fabric.

The weight is perfect for spring. Not too thin, but also not bulky.

My favorite thing about this rain jacket is that it can be cinched in the waist. That makes it way more flattering than boxy rain jackets.

What I Didn’t Like about this Shilowe Cargo Rain Jacket

The only thing I didn’t love is that the hood might be a bit big. However, if I had my hair in a pony tail, it might be perfect.

FINAL VERDICT: Keep

RD STYLE | MCKINLEY RIBBED DETAIL PULLOVER

Springtime in the Pacific Northwest is still sweater and jeans weather. Since not all sweaters are created the same, it’s always nice to have several sweater options in a variety of colors, weights, and styles.

Stitch Fix Unboxing & Try On: February 2020 featured by top US lifestyle blogger, Marcie in Mommyland: Mckinley Ribbed Detail Pullover

Retail Price: $58.00

What I Liked about this Mckinley Ribbed Detail Pullover

I think the jewel toned color is stunning!

This sweater is also a nice medium weight. It would be easy to layer underneath a jacket or to layer over a camisole.

I’m also a huge fan of the shape, especially the bottom of the sweater. It swoops down in the front and comes up on the sides for a flattering shape.

What I Didn’t Like about this Mckinley Ribbed Detail Pullover

I’m not sure I’m in love with the faux inside-out look. But that’s a minor thing.

FINAL VERDICT: Keep

LOVEAPPELLA | CAMERYN BRUSHED KNIT MAXI SKIRT

Maxi skirts are another versatile item to wear in the Spring. Just add a sweater and a denim jacket and you’re all set. Or pair it with a tank top or t-shirt for Summer.

Stitch Fix Unboxing & Try On: February 2020 featured by top US lifestyle blogger, Marcie in Mommyland: Cameryn Brushed Knit Maxi Skirt

Retail Price: $48.00

What I Liked about this Cameryn Brushed Knit Maxi Skirt

This skirt is so incredibly soft and stretchy. I also like how it is ankle length, so not too long or too short. And it fit me perfectly.

What I Didn’t Like about this Cameryn Brushed Knit Maxi Skirt

I personally wore a lot of maxi skirts like this when I was pregnant, so I was a bit hesitant to try this one on.

I’m not in love with the print. It just feels “meh” to me, especially with it being white, black, and grey.

FINAL VERDICT: Return

CALVIN KLEIN | PARNETTA MIXED MEDIA 1 POCKET KNIT TOP

While we all have t-shirts in our wardrobe, it’s nice to elevate a few of our casual tops. This Calvin Klein shirt is a twist on a regular pocketed t-shirt.

Stitch Fix Unboxing & Try On: February 2020 featured by top US lifestyle blogger, Marcie in Mommyland: Parnetta Mix Media 1 Pocket Knit Top

Retail Price: $38.00

What I Liked about this Parnetta Mixed Media 1 Pocket Knit Top

I really like the trim on the cap sleeves and the bottom of this top. The length hit my hip bone and the shirt was super flattering when I tried it on.

It goes great with a pair of jeans, shorts, or even slacks. It can be dressed up or dressed down.

The fabric is super soft and stretchy. It’s one of the most comfortable tops I’ve tried on.

What I Didn’t Like about this Parnetta Mixed Media 1 Pocket Knit Top

I already own a top that is super similar (it’s a black shirt with one pocket and puff sleeves.) Because of that, I didn’t think I needed to add another top like that to my wardrobe.

FINAL VERDICT: Return (but it was a tough call)

JUST USA | VALE SKINNY DISTRESSED JEAN

Finding a good pair of jeans can be so touch. But Stitch Fix has done a great job of finding jeans that fit my tricky figure. This pair of distressed jeans is in a really nice, light wash.

Stitch Fix Unboxing & Try On: February 2020 featured by top US lifestyle blogger, Marcie in Mommyland: Vale Skinny Distressed Jean

Retail Price: $58.00

What I Liked about this Vale Skinny Distressed Jean

I really like the wash and distressed details on this pair of jeans. I don’t own any jeans in this wash and they would be great for Spring and Summer.

What I Didn’t Like about this Vale Skinny Distressed Jean

While they felt comfortable, they looked a little tight in the booty when I tried them on. Since I already got some amazing jeans in past Stitch Fix boxes, I decided not to keep these.

FINAL VERDICT: Return

Overall, I’d say this Stitch Fix Unboxing was mostly successful!

I’m going gaga over the blush rain jacket and I can’t wait to wear my sweater out to run errands.
