Winter is setting in here in the Pacific Northwest, but that’s not stopping us from traveling.
Next up, we’re heading to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia in Canada. It’s just a few hours north of Seattle and we’re taking the Clipper ferry boat up there.
Victoria is one of those magical Christmas destinations and I want to feel festive with cute new sweaters that will also keep me warm.
So, I told my stylist to load me up with sweater options and I told her to include some luxe options, if possible.
Let’s take a peek at what was inside my December 2019 Stitch Fix box:

MARKET & SPRUCE | SHARLENE FAIR ISLE COTTON BLEND PULLOVER
I’ve been on the hunt for a thick, statement sweater for awhile now. I think the “I’m just heading up to my winter cabin” look is chic.
That’s probably from watching way too many Christmas movies on Netflix and Hallmark every year!
Retail Price: $74.00
What I Liked about this Sharlene Fair Isle Cotton Blend Pullover:
First of all, it feels super luxurious. It’s a thick, cotton sweater that seems like it will hold up and be a winter staple for years.
Second of all, it’s such a classic look and it made me smile as soon as I pulled it out of the box.
I also really like the rounded hemline.
What I Didn’t Like about this Sharlene Fair Isle Cotton Blend Pullover:
I think in a perfect world, there might be a bit more color in the Fair Isle print instead of just black.
FINAL VERDICT: Keep
EVOLUTION BY CYRUS | HOLLIE CABLE KNIT SWING BODY PULLOVER
While I usually love a lot of color, I’m trying to add more neutral items to my wardrobe, especially for the holidays.
The backgrounds are so bright and colorful that wearing something neutral helps me stand out a bit.
Retail Price: $78.00
What I Liked about this Hollie Cable Knit Swing Body Pullover:
It feels really nice. It’s soft and cozy with just a bit of stretch. The top part of this sweater is cute.
What I Didn’t Like about this Hollie Cable Knit Swing Body Pullover:
I don’t like the “swing” shape of the botton of this sweater. I felt like I was wearing a toddler dress and I don’t think it was very flattering on me.
FINAL VERDICT: Return
EDYSON | HAMPTON SKINNY CORDUROY
Finding interesting pants is kind of a game-changer. With more neutral tops, I can have more fun with what I pair them with.
I mostly wear jeans or black slacks, so I’m curious about other options like these.
Retail Price: $68.00
What I Liked about this Hampton Skinny Corduroy:
I think the cut of the pant is really cute and the bright navy color is a bold choice. In any other material, I would have considered them.
What I Didn’t Like about this Hampton Skinny Corduroy:
I realized as soon as I touched them that I forgot to tell my stylist that I hate corduroy. And not just slightly. I can’t stand the feel or look of corduroy.
FINAL VERDICT: Return
VERO MODA | ESTRELLA COLORBLOCK PULLOVER
I really want to add more casual sweaters to my winter wardrobe that I can easily dress up or down.
I like pairing sweaters like this with distressed jeans when I’m running errands or with dressy wool pants and a sparkly necklace for an evening event.
Retail Price: $54.00
What I Liked about this Estrella Colorblock Pullover:
I love how soft and “nice” this sweater feels. It almost fits like a sweatshirt in the way that you could just slip it on over whatever you are wearing and head out.
The colors reminded me of The Nutcracker ballet, which has been on my mind since we saw it.
What I Didn’t Like about this Estrella Colorblock Pullover:
It’s a little bit boxy, so I wish it was a little more tailored.
FINAL VERDICT: Keep
MARKET & SPRUCE | ROADITH CREW NECK COTTON BLEND PULLOVER
I’m really making an effort this year to pull myself out of the yoga pants rut I’ve been in and actually make the effort to look nice.
As soon as I saw this sweater, I immediately thought of blingy jewelry and a black skirt or pants for a sophisticated winter ensemble.
Retail Price: $58.00
What I Liked about this Roadith Crew Neck Cotton Blend Pullover:
This makes me think of the holidays without being bright red or green. It’s kind of like what I’d picture an actress in a New York-set holiday flick wearing over a crisp white button down shirt as she races around her office.
It feels really nice and has a Kate Spade vibe.
What I Didn’t Like about this Roadith Crew Neck Cotton Blend Pullover:
It’s a tad boxy and I did hem and haw about keeping it. I couldn’t tell if it was frumpy or chic.
FINAL VERDICT: KeepSAVE $25 ON STITCH FIX
Overall, I’d say this Stitch Fix Unboxing was wonderful!
Three out of the five pieces were definitely my style and I liked I had some hard decisions to make!
These are super cute winter wardrobe pieces that would work in cold weather climates in the United States.
I can’t wait to wear my new Sharlene Fair Isle sweater while exploring Victoria, BC this month!
