I’m such a slow eater that breakfast on the go is the only way I have a chance to eat!

My 3.5-year-old is now a preschooler. I don’t know how that happened. Time is flying by! I also have an 11-month-old. The boys wake up really early and need a lot of attention.

So, my mornings consist of trying to get all three of us ready to head out the door by a specific time. We’re used to having leisurely mornings, so this has been a real struggle for us.

Thankfully, I’ve discovered that my mood greatly improves when I have time for some caffeine in the morning. I recently tried Gold Peak® Vanilla Chai Lattes and Gold Peak Salted Caramel Coffee Drinks and am in love!

I used to head to my nearest drive-thru coffee place when heading to play dates. It was the little treat I gave myself.

However, the drive-thru line wait times vary greatly. I’ve waited as long as 20 minutes before. We don’t have that kind of wiggle room in our morning schedule anymore.

I love that I don’t have to deal with the hassle of swinging by a coffee shop to get a cold brewed coffee or chai tea latte. This saves me time and money.

Eat a Balanced Grab-and-Go Breakfast

I don’t have time to sit down and eat breakfast at home. My kids are hungry little monkeys and I’m constantly replenishing their food while trying to tidy the kitchen and pack up lunch.

So, I make sure to pack a grab-and-go breakfast to eat in the car on the way to preschool drop-off.

Right now, that consists of multigrain toast with peanut butter, a handful of almonds and a piece of fruit. I usually pick up these groceries from Walmart because they also sell Gold Peak.

The fun part is deciding which Gold Peak drink I’m going to have to complete my balanced breakfast. Lately, I’ve been enjoying the Gold Peak Vanilla Chai Latte.

Listen to an Audiobook

One of my favorite ways to add in self-care without much effort is to listen to audiobooks in the car.

When my oldest was a baby, I listened to most of the Anne of Green Gables series. I also devoured every word that Liane Moriarty has written.

Since my oldest is a careful listener, I usually hold off on my audiobook until after drop off. It makes me relish my drive time.

I never understood the power of deep breathing until I tried meditation before I got pregnant. My husband and I were struggling with fertility issues and meditation seemed to be the only thing that helped us de-stress.

Part of what I learned with deep breathing is to be in the moment. That’s what I love most about Gold Peak products.

I’ve only recently discovered Gold Peak tea lattes and coffee. What drew me to the tea lattes are that they are made with real sugar and real tea.

      Do it! Some of my current favorite audiobooks are Shonda Rhimes’ “Year of Yes” and Lauren Graham’s “Talking as Fast as I Can.”
